As I reeled from the news of the Sunami in Japan, I revisited all of the recent natural disasters and I began to feel depressed, fearful and helpless. By the end of that weekend, I decided to us my knowledge of social networking to push for global preparedness. I started at Face Book Page.
Japan Haiti: Our Future World on Earth: International Call for Action
I asked: “Please post your country's flag, and bring others to this FB page? Show and tell others we must have united talks now. “
I acknowledged my feelings. "I am afraid, I am weary, as I cry for my brothers and sisters and I must be hopeful.” I made my resolution: “We must plan, and plan today."
“It’s time for the greatest minds on our planet to talk about how we can survive nature’s challenges to our lives and our future. I am an Author, and a Social Worker and this is not a hoax. There is no need to include me for I am just one person, an unknown. We are being tested as a species and we must act together today. This a single call to international action to form a task force to consider combining the various efforts of the experts that already exist. Find them, support them and let’s call for action. “The volcano of Pompeii is smoking.” The following professions must come to the conversation: Future Earth – Our survival: Architecture, Physics, Ecology, Environmental Studies, Art, Geology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Earth Science, Astronomy, and History. Please join in, and add to our content. There seems to be no part of our world that is immune. To me, that should be our rally-cry! 2. Officials to recognize the importance of the activity we ask for.
3. Public figures to endorse the ideas expressed on the Page.
4. Volunteers to talk to others in their community and propose the messages here.
The message:
A global strategy appears to be an idea whose time has come. Please inform everyone you know, that all nations must act together, now and to develop a multi-national cooperative rescue network. There is no reason why ships lie idle around the World, while our brothers and sister in Japan are sick and starving. This has to become intolerable to all of us. If you have influence, please use it now.

No Country should ever face this alone again! This is not a Japan or Haiti problem. It is a global problem requiring united action, pre-planning for rescue operations before disasters strike. Why do the ships of the World sit idle while our brothers and sisters starve?
